Frank Munsey, our namesake and newspaper extraordinaire from the late 1800s, was the creator of the pulp magazine - an inexpensive magazine printed on pulp paper with high speed printing presses. His first pulp magazine was the Argosy, which focused on fiction, art, and human interest stories.

As a tribute to Frank Munsey and the Argosy, we’ve created the Munsey Pulp to serve as your guide to Baltimore’s favorite spots, charming history, and best-kept secrets - and even resurrected Frank Munsey as our fictional editor-in-chief. We’ve partnered with local providers and writers to bring you this quarterly publication. Read it here online, or find it at the Argosy Café and throughout the Munsey.
